Kick Ass
If you think you can stomach an 11 year old girl spewing the most profane lines in the movie while gleefully and brutally murdering just about everyone, see this movie. It’s amazingly well constructed, and uses structure and tone to build possibly the most interesting and non-preachy commentary on media violence and the difference between “fantasy” and “reality” I’ve ever seen.
When my jaw wasn’t hanging open in horror, it was a hell of a lot of fun. Especially the ridiculously satisfying last act. I’ll definitely be seeing it again.
